The New Simulator Center of the Philippines, Inc. (NEWSIM) proudly announced as it launched NEWSIM Cebu Branch in 6th Floor, Escario Building, Escario Street, Cebu City. Honorable Mayor Michael L. Rama graced the occasion by cutting the ribbon (photo above) assisted by Capt BURT Sabay, the CEO. The launching and blessing was done last 26 November 2011.
NEWSIM Cebu has been approved and accredited by the Maritime Training Council (MTC) after a very stringent inspection and is now ready to offer the following courses:
1. Management Level Course Deck (MLCD), Functions 1 to 3; MTC Accredited
2. Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork with Bridge Resource Management (SSBT w/ BRM); MTC Accredited
3. Engine Room Simulator Course with Engine Room Resource Management (ERSC w/ ERRM); MTC Accrdited
4. Electronic Chart Display and Information System with Automatic Identification System (ECDIS w/ AIS); MTC Accredited
5. Ship Handling and Maneuvering (5 days)
6. Simulator Training Collision Avoidance (3 days)
7. Bridge Resource Management (3 days)
8. Bridge Team Management (3 days)
9. Engine Room Resource Management (3 days)
10. Shipboard Management and Leadership (5 days)
11. Ship Security Awareness (1 day)
12. Risk Assessment and Management
13. Others
